We run or participate in a number of events around the locality. This page is a summary of where you might find us and also contains news of events that are happening nationally. We try to keep the information as up to date and relevant as possible, but rely on third parties to let us know of any public events that should be included.

Training sessions
There are currently no regular training sessions in Langport, Aller or in Keinton Mandeville.

On Tuesday afternoons at Somerton Methodist Church we run two separate sessions, the first 2pm to 3.30 and then 4.00 to 5.30pm. With two sessions back to back we can cover twice as many trainees and give you more personal attention. On Thursday afternoons from 2.00 to 4.30pm we provide a location for Somerton Job Club, with free internet access and computers available to job seekers, anyone on benefits and family carers.
There is disabled access and facilities at this location. New sessions will start from Sept 17th, (see below) so we can accept new learners.

Following our successful classes in conjunction with Martock Parish Council and Martock Job Club we are starting a new class at Martock Primary School, Martock in October. Anyone interested should contact the organisers direct on 01935 824770 or NetBuddies on 01458 250603

Taster sessions - Laptop or Tablet?
We regularly run taster sessions at all our venues to show the opportunities the internet opens up for you. These will be open sessions during Age UK's iTea and Biscuits week (Sept 16 - 21). We'll show you what is available, with a choice of Laptops, Tablets and Smartphones on display for your to try for yourself. If you're a first time user, you can get some hands on help to take your first steps online and sign up for our easy courses. Even if your eyesight is not as good as it was, your fingers are a bit stiff or you are dyslexic, we can still help you. You learn at your own pace and take as long as you need. You will be amazed at what you can achieve with a little help from NetBuddies! We'll be serving free refreshments, so you can just pop in for a cup of Fairtrade tea or coffee and a chat! Our sessions at Somerton on 17th and 19th Sept are drop-in opportunities, with no commitment, just a chance to find out more about what computers can do for you.
